True World Foods Canada is proud to be part of a global network that began in the mid-1970s as a small fish vendor in Brooklyn, New York. Since then, we’ve grown into a trusted international supplier of premium sushi and sashimi-grade seafood and Asian specialty products — with over 30 independent locations worldwide, including a strong and growing presence here in Canada.

Serving over 1,000 restaurants, grocers, and culinary professionals nationwide, we offer an extensive range of products: from fresh and frozen seafood to gourmet meats, specialty pantry items, fresh produce, and essential kitchenware. MATSUHISA

Chef Nobuyuki Matsuhisa heads the Matsuhisa restaurant and has devoted his heart to creating unmatched and flavorful Japanese cuisine for his guests to enjoy. He hails from Saitama, Japan, and underwent a rigorous apprenticeship in Tokyo before crossing the Pacific and opening up his own establishment.

SUSHI OF GARI

For a decade, founder Gari Sugio has run a sushi restaurant that is innovative in the way it serves sushi with both cold and warm ingredients, offering more than 130 varieties. Sushi of Gari 46 focuses primarily on serving Gari’s “Signature Omakase” Sushi dinner, which shows off his expertise with marinated and spiced raw and slightly cooked ingredients, in addition to a menu of traditional Japanese dishes.

MATSURI

Matsuri is a Japanese restaurant located in the heart of Miami. It has an extensive and creative sushi menu, in addition to several Japanese entrées full of exotic flavors and spices. Matsuri has several hot dinner options, like chicken and beef teriyaki, as well as stir-fried pork in a ginger sauce. The most popular starter is the beef sashimi carpaccio, which is refreshing and unique to the Matsuri menu. If out with a group, order the Go-To-Go Special, which is 28 pieces of sashimi, several slices of shellfish, 22 pieces of sushi and three rolls. This spread allows guests to sample all Matsuri has to offer.
